A seed turns out into a plant due to the fertility of soil, in similar way the fertilized egg of women takes the shape of a child in women uterus. But every woman is not so lucky to have the ability to provide proper conditions which could help the egg to survive and this is all because of infertility.

Infertility is the inability of women to conceive after having an unprotected sex for a year. A new life came into existence when the eggs which are released from one of the ovaries of female and gets fertilized by the male sperm on its way towards the uterus (womb). Infertility could arise either due to the male factors or the female factors.

Infertility is not like other diseases which could show up the symptoms before hand but it is noticed when female fails to conceive. There are several causes for female infertility like irregular or heavy menstrual cycle, overweight, blocked fallopian tube, hormone problem, age, alcohol, stress.

If you find anything suspicious about the reasons for not conceiving you should go for fertility testing without wasting any more time. Fertility testing among men and women involves different procedures as in men the test is done for knowing the sperm generation, movement and its shape in female there are several tests.

Female fertility test starts with the testing of ovulation process whether the ovaries are producing eggs or not. The home ovulation test kit is available at the medical stores to test at home or you can get it done at the clinic itself. If the ovulation is carried out properly by the ovaries then further test are done to know whether the fallopian tubes are blocked or not or the uterus of female is having any infection or not. These tests are known to be ultrasound, blood test, Hysterosalpingogram and Laparoscopy respectively.

Solutions for infertility -
Medical researches are being done so that the couples could be able to have a child. There are several treatments which could be followed according to the symptoms being diagnosed through tests.

  • Several cases get solved by drugs, and surgery itself.
  • By assisted reproductive technology (ART) - deals with the handling of men sperm and woman egg outside the body. ART involves different ways like-

    a) In vitro fertilization (IVF) -it's used in case of blocked fallopian tube. The ovaries are stimulated by drug to produce eggs in large quantity which are then taken and fertilized with the sperm and after they get fertilized they are placed in uterus.

    b) Gamete intrafallopian transfer (GIFT) - similar to IVF but it's used when one of the fallopian tubes is normal.

    c) Zygote intrafallopian transfer (ZIFT) - fertilized eggs are planted in fallopian tube rather than uterus.

Staying away from alcohol and taking proper diet and seeking the advice of the doctor you could also be able to conceive like others can and because of new medical therapies impossible has taken shape of i-m-possible.
